In the summer warmth of Lexington, Kentucky, a life was cut tragically short. Sixteen-year-old Christopher Valdez, a male who was looking forward to his senior year at Lafayette High School, was found dead on July 5, 2023. His death, caused by a gunshot wound, was the culmination of a violent encounter that unfolded in the area of Pine Meadows Park.
