On July 13, 2023, at approximately 12:36 a.m., the Lexington Police Department responded to a call for shots fired in the 900 block of Whitney Avenue in Lexington, Kentucky. Upon arrival, officers found 31-year-old Stacey Marshall outside with a gunshot wound. Marshall was transported to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries, and his death was ruled as a homicide.
