Edgar Lopez Jr., a 34-year-old resident of Covington, Kentucky, died on August 8, 2023, due to a shooting incident. The incident occurred in the evening on Russell Street near Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. Police responded to a reported shooting and found Lopez injured, along with another person who had been injured in a fight that preceded the shooting.
