On October 22, 2023, a fatal shooting occurred in the Latonia neighborhood of Covington, Kentucky. The incident took place just after 1:00 a.m. in the 300 block of East 39th Street. Police officers responded to a call for a shooting and found one victim, later identified as 35-year-old Peter Thomas Larkin, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds inside a home. Despite immediate medical attention, Larkin was pronounced dead at the scene.
