Murdered

Amani Wayne Smith, a 14-year-old eighth-grade student at Holmes Middle School in Covington, Kentucky, was shot and killed on Tuesday, January 23, 2024. The incident occurred near Latonia Elementary School, around 3:30 p.m., when Amani and his girlfriend, Miley, were walking to his grandmother’s house. Miley was also shot but survived and was treated at the hospital.
