In the light of a late summer day in Covington, Kentucky, a tragic case of mistaken identity led to the untimely death of Randolph 'Noodles' Hughes, a 30-year-old Black male. On August 25, 2014, Hughes was gunned down in broad daylight in the city's Eastside neighborhood on 13th Street. The violence that ended his life stemmed from a misplaced desire for revenge, as his assailants wrongly believed he had assaulted one of their friends.
