On the night of January 10, 2021, a tragic series of events unfolded in Covington, Kentucky, involving 32-year-old Jerome Edward Lewis II, a Black male resident of Cincinnati. Lewis had spent several hours patronizing the 30 Something Bar, located at 732 Greenup Street. As the evening progressed and the establishment neared its closing time just after midnight, staff members escorted him out of the premises.
