On a Sunday afternoon in Covington, Kentucky, the life of 19-year-old Elijah Justus Lovitt was cut short by gunfire. The Black / African American teenager from Elsmere was fatally shot on February 13, 2022. Covington Police were called to the 2600 block of Benton Road in the City Heights neighborhood around 3:09 PM following reports of a shooting.
