In the early hours of a Sunday morning in Louisville's Russell neighborhood, the life of 58-year-old Kaynell Pate was tragically cut short. On September 10, 2023, police responded to a call of a shooting at the corner of 29th and Cedar Street around 9 a.m. Upon arrival, they discovered Pate, a male resident of Louisville, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
