In the Parkland neighborhood of Louisville, Kentucky, a tragedy unfolded that cut short the life of Aaron Christopher Nolan, a 35-year-old Black male. On April 23, 2024, Nolan was inside the 2 Brothers Market Plus, a local corner store, when he was shot multiple times. The owner of the market later recounted that the shooting stemmed from an argument that began outside the store.
Following the altercation, Nolan entered the convenience store where he collapsed near the counter and
ultimately succumbed to his injuries. Officers from the Louisville Metro Police Department responded to the scene and found his body inside the market. His death was a result of the gunshot wounds he sustained.
In the wake of the shooting, the coroner's office identified Aaron Nolan as the victim. His family and friends were left to mourn the sudden and violent loss. Services to remember and honor his life were held on Thursday, May 9, 2024, at King Solomon Baptist Church, beginning with a visitation followed by a funeral service. As of now, the police have not made any arrests in connection with the shooting, and no suspects have been publicly identified. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding Aaron Nolan's death remains ongoing.
