In the late afternoon of July 29, 2020, a shooting shattered the calm of the Shelby Park neighborhood in Louisville, Kentucky. The incident, which occurred in the 700 block of East Kentucky Street, left 29-year-old Dwight Antowon Lacey with gunshot wounds. Emergency services responded to the scene and transported him to University Hospital. Initial reports from the Louisville Metro Police Department suggested that his injuries were not life-threatening.
