On July 19, 2024, a fatal shooting occurred in the parking lot of the Gatehouse Apartments, located at 1825 Liberty Road in Lexington, Kentucky. The victim, identified as 16-year-old C'aveyoun Robinson, a resident of Lexington, was found dead with a gunshot wound. Lexington Police responded to a call about shots fired around 4:56 a.m. and upon arrival, they found Robinson dead in the back seat of a vehicle.
