In the early morning hours of a Sunday in Louisville, Kentucky, the life of 31-year-old Devontae Beach, a Black male, was tragically cut short. Just hours after the conclusion of the EST Gee Summer Jam concert at the KFC Yum! Center, a report of a shooting shattered the downtown quiet. Police were dispatched to the 800 block of West Main Street, a popular area frequented by tourists, not far from the Louisville Slugger Museum.
