In the spring of 2017, the life of 29-year-old Ricky Jones was tragically cut short in Louisville, Kentucky. A Black male, Jones became an unintended victim in a violent domestic dispute that unfolded on April 14th. That evening, he was at the Kingston Avenue apartment of a friend, Delivia Carron. Carron had previously obtained an EPO against her ex-boyfriend, Daquan Lampkin, and, fearing for her safety, had asked Jones to be with her.
