In the spring of 2023, a shooting in Southeast Portland brought a tragic end to the life of 29-year-old Zachery Freeman, a white male remembered by his family as a beacon of love, life, and integrity. On the morning of April 23, officers responded to a report of a shooting inside a business on Southeast Foster Road, where they found Freeman deceased.
