Derrick Adam McKee, a 49-year-old resident of Harrisburg, Oregon, was fatally shot on August 19, 2024, in the area near Coburg, Oregon. The incident occurred in the 33000 block of Coleman Road north of Coburg. Lane County Sheriff deputies, along with Oregon State Police, Coburg police, and Linn County Sheriff deputies, responded to the reported shooting and found McKee dead from a gunshot wound upon arrival.
Following the discovery of McKee's body, detectives initiated an investigation
into the fatal shooting. On August 20, 2024, just a day after the incident, a suspect was taken into custody in connection with the crime. Sean Joseph Lynn, aged 30, was booked into the Lane County Jail on suspicion of second-degree murder in relation to McKee's death.
