On August 31, 1993, 38-year-old Armando Urisar-Escobar was brutally murdered in Eugene, Oregon. He was assaulted at approximately 11 p.m. near the tracks by 1991 W. 2nd Avenue. Witnesses reported that Urisar-Escobar had been sitting with two other people after purchasing beer when, without provocation, the suspect attacked him with a knife and then fled the scene.
