On September 6, 1993, 44-year-old George Louis Castaneda was found fatally assaulted in front of the Eugene Mission on West 1st Avenue in Eugene, Oregon. He had suffered multiple blunt impacts to his head, which ultimately led to his death. Witnesses described the assailant as a white male, aged 20-30, around 5'5" tall, with shoulder-length blond hair and a mustache.
