George Bundy Wasson, a 79-year-old renowned storyteller, educator, and elder of the Coquille Indian Tribe, died under tragic circumstances on March 19, 2014, at his home in Eugene, Oregon. The incident involved a homicide and an ensuing fire at his residence on Elk Avenue.
