On February 22, 2023, Joyce A. Moore, a 60-year-old woman from Fort Wayne, Indiana, was fatally shot when she opened the front door of her apartment. The incident occurred in the 6000 block of Bunt Drive, where both Joyce and her husband were present at the time of the shooting. According to the Fort Wayne Police Department, several 911 calls were made around 11:30 a.m. reporting gunshots.
