In the early morning hours of Friday, March 31, 2023, the life of 17-year-old Val King Jr. was tragically cut short in Gary, Indiana. The young man was discovered in an alley near West 5th Avenue and Garfield Street, suffering from a gunshot wound to his abdomen. He was rushed to Northlake Methodist Hospital, but tragically, he succumbed to his injuries.
