Death by Force

On November 25, 2024, at approximately 2:00 a.m., the Gary Police Department responded to a report of a weapons offense in the 1300 block of West 47th Avenue in Gary, Indiana. Upon arrival, officers found 25-year-old Karriem Branch lying unresponsive near the sidewalk of a residence. Emergency medical personnel from the Gary Fire Department arrived shortly thereafter and pronounced Branch deceased at the scene.
