On January 9, 2023, a tragic incident occurred in Gary, Indiana, resulting in the death of 24-year-old Jalen Hurd. At approximately 12:29 PM, Gary Police Officers were dispatched to the 400 block of Massachusetts Street following reports of shots fired.
