In the early morning of October 1, 2023, tragedy struck in the parking lot of an apartment complex on the east side of Indianapolis. Stephen Rozelle Hale, a 32-year-old male, was found with gunshot wounds, lying on the ground near a van. Witnesses at the scene reported that Hale had been involved in an argument with a woman shortly before the shooting occurred.
