In the cold of a late December evening in 2018, a young man's life was cut tragically short in a shooting on the far east side of Indianapolis. Twenty-three-year-old Christopher Buckhalter was found shot in the driver's seat of his car which had rolled to a stop after crashing into another vehicle at the Carriage House East apartments near the intersection of 42nd Street and Mitthoeffer Road.
