In the early morning hours of February 25, 2025, a tragic event unfolded on the near east side of Indianapolis that ended the life of 28-year-old Cruize Hodge. A male, Hodge was discovered lying in the 400 block of Oakland Avenue, suffering from a gunshot wound. Emergency services were dispatched to the scene just before 5:45 a.m., and he was rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition. Despite the efforts of medical professionals, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
