Fredrick Jamar Johnson III, a 19-year-old Black male, was in the 5800 block of East 40th Street when the shooting occurred.
Officers from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department were dispatched to the scene, just west of North
Arlington Avenue, after receiving a report of a person shot. Upon their arrival, they discovered two victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Fredrick Jamar Johnson III was pronounced dead at the scene.
