On November 21, 2023, Matthew Rashad Wiley, a 24-year-old resident of South Bend, Indiana, lost his life due to gun violence. The incident occurred in the area of Marion and Taylor Streets, where police were called around 4:45 p.m. following a report of a shooting.
Upon arrival, police found Matthew Wiley shot and immediately transported him to the hospital. Despite medical efforts, Wiley succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at Memorial Hospital.
