In the late afternoon of a Tuesday in South Bend, Indiana, tragedy struck, cutting short the life of a young man. Matthew Wiley, a 24-year-old male, was found suffering from apparent gunshot wounds near the intersection of Marion and Taylor streets. The incident, which unfolded just before 5 p.m. on November 21, 2023, prompted a swift response from the South Bend Police Department.
