On June 30, 2024, a tragic shooting occurred at the Prosper Apartments on East Jefferson Boulevard in South Bend, Indiana, resulting in the death of 20-year-old Robert Tyrese Jeffries. The incident happened overnight, just before 1:00 AM, and also left two teenagers injured: a 16-year-old male and a 17-year-old female.
