On February 19, 2024, a mass shooting occurred at a Waffle House restaurant located in the 2600 block of South Lynhurst Drive, near Sam Jones Expressway and Interstate 70, on the west side of Indianapolis. The incident happened shortly after 12:30 a.m. and involved an altercation between two groups of people, both inside and outside the restaurant.
