On March 15, 2024, 31-year-old Black / African American male Mark Miles Jr. was fatally shot inside a residence on the far east side of Indianapolis, Indiana. Officers from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department responded to the scene in the 3600 block of Ireland Drive, near the intersection of East 38th Street and North Post Road, shortly after 11:00 p.m. following reports of a disturbance.
