In the early morning hours of a spring day in Washington, D.C., a violent encounter cut short the life of a young man. Clifton Nate Chaney, a 26-year-old male, was with two other individuals, seated in a car in the 3800 block of 10th Street, NE on Saturday, May 17, 2008. At approximately 2:25 a.m., their vehicle was approached by an unidentified gunman who, without warning, opened fire.
