Murdered

On the evening of December 28, 2015, 34-year-old Darnell Antonio Mayfield was shot and killed in the 2300 block of Hartford Street, Southeast, Washington, D.C. The incident occurred around 5:35 pm, and first responders arrived at the scene shortly thereafter, where they found Mayfield suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite efforts to provide medical assistance, Mayfield did not survive.
