Dazmond Morgan, a 26-year-old man, tragically lost his life on October 19, 2021, in Indianapolis, Indiana. Morgan was shot in the abdomen outside Cory Bretz Hall on the campus of the University of Indianapolis. Despite being rushed to the hospital, he succumbed to his injuries. Morgan had recently moved to Indianapolis from Kentucky in August 2021, seeking to improve his life. His family described him as someone who loved skateboarding and was trying to better himself.
