On March 15, 2024, a tragic incident occurred in unincorporated Griffith, Indiana, resulting in the deaths of three men, including 67-year-old John G. Stefanich of Highland. Authorities responded to a residence in the 600 block of Colfax Street around 2 p.m., discovering three individuals with apparent gunshot wounds.
