In the late hours of a Wednesday in Indianapolis, the life of 20-year-old Ian Kenneth LeQuinn Neberz was tragically cut short. On March 27, 2024, gunshots shattered the night on the city's west side, leaving Neberz, a male, with fatal injuries. Police responded to reports of shots fired in the 400 block of Mariway Road, near North Raceway Road and West 10th Street, around 11:30 p.m.
There they discovered a car that had crashed into a mobile home.
Inside the vehicle, officers found Ian Kenneth LeQuinn Neberz, who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The Marion County Coroner's Office later confirmed his death as a homicide. Two juvenile males were also wounded in the shooting. They were found a short distance from the car and were taken to a hospital in stable condition.
Investigators believe the two juveniles were in the car with Neberz at the time of the shooting. However, authorities have stated that the two surviving victims have not provided any information regarding the circumstances of the shooting. There were no known witnesses to the incident itself.
