Death by Force

On June 1, 2024, Pen Standifer, a 65-year-old resident of Gary, Indiana, was found shot to death outside his residence in the 4100 block of West 23rd Avenue. The incident occurred around 9 a.m. as Standifer was preparing to leave for his job at the Indiana toll road. Neighbors reported hearing shots and seeing Standifer collapse in his front yard near his vehicle.
