On January 17, 2023, at approximately 12:49 p.m., Philadelphia Police officers responded to a shooting incident on the 2200 block of North Broad Street. Upon arrival, they discovered 42-year-old Karim Davis inside a deli, suffering from a gunshot wound. He was immediately transported to Temple University Hospital, where he was listed in extremely critical condition. Despite the medical team's efforts, Karim succumbed to his injuries on January 19, 2023.
