On July 16, 2024, 29-year-old Gavin Dasaur was fatally shot during a road rage incident on Indianapolis's southeast side. The confrontation occurred around 8:15 p.m. at the intersection of East Thompson Road and South Emerson Avenue. Witnesses reported that the altercation involved Dasaur, driving a black Honda, and the driver of a white Chevy pickup truck.
