On September 13, 2024, Rayion Lamont Matthews, a 24-year-old man, was fatally shot in Indianapolis, Indiana. The incident occurred in the early morning hours at an apartment complex in the 1500 block of Lewis Street, near the Frank & Judy O'Bannon Soccer Park and just east of East 16th Street and North College Avenue.
