On September 14, 2024, a deadly shooting occurred on the east side of Indianapolis, resulting in the death of 31-year-old Joshua Daniel Davis. Police responded to multiple calls of shots fired in the 3800 block of East Washington Street, near North Sherman Drive, shortly after 6 a.m..
