40-year-old Chastin Wayne Wheeler was found suffering from a gunshot wound near the Brookside Community Center in Indianapolis on the evening of February 28, 2025. Officers responded to the scene around 9:15 p.m. after receiving reports of a shooting in the 3500 block of Brookside Parkway South Drive.
