A 25-year-old man, Jasper Dugan, was fatally shot on the near northeast side of Indianapolis on Friday, November 1, 2024. The incident occurred in the 3500 block of North Lasalle Street. Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers responded to the scene shortly after 7 p.m. and found two individuals.
Dugan was transported to IU Health Methodist Hospital in critical condition and later died from his injuries.
The Marion County Coroner's Office subsequently identified him as the deceased. A second man at the scene was also taken to the hospital but was found to have only a minor laceration.
A few days later, IMPD announced the arrests of two men, aged 27 and 22, in connection with the homicide. Homicide detectives identified the two as suspects leading to their arrests. Authorities have not yet released the names of the suspects or the specific charges they face. The Marion County Prosecutor's Office will determine the final charges.
