Death by Force

On March 24, 2024, a fatal shooting occurred on the near southeast side of Indianapolis, resulting in the death of 30-year-old James Qinteace McDowell. The incident took place around 4 a.m. in the 2800 block of Tindall Street, near the intersection of South Keystone and East Troy avenues. Indianapolis police responded to a report of a person shot and found McDowell inside a parked car with gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency medical personnel.
