On February 9, 2023, around 5:00 PM, a fatal shooting occurred in the Roseland area of Chicago, Illinois. The victim, 31-year-old Loray Reid Patton, was identified as the male shot and killed in this incident. Chicago Police responded to a shot spotter alert indicating nine rounds had been fired and received calls about shots fired and a car crash with a person shot at the intersection of 113th Street and Throop.
