In the early evening of January 3, 2022, a sense of disquiet settled over the Allen Hills Apartments on Middleton Road in northwest Atlanta. It was there that the life of 31-year-old Timmie Thomas Jr., a male resident of the city, was tragically cut short. Responding to a call at approximately 5:15 p.m., Atlanta police officers arrived to a somber scene where they discovered Mr. Thomas had been shot. Despite the swift arrival of emergency services, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
