In the winter of 2017, the body of 22-year-old Cory Roberts, an African-American male, was discovered in Atlanta's Mozley Park on January 27th. Two children who were in the park at the time stumbled upon the grim scene. Roberts' hands were bound, and it was later determined by the Fulton County Medical Examiner's Office that he had been suffocated.
Investigators believe the act was personal, not a random act of violence.
The last time he was seen alive was four days prior to the discovery of his body at the bustling Five Points MARTA station. His mother, Natasha Bruner, made public pleas for anyone with information to come forward, expressing her heartbreak and desire for justice for her son.
