On April 9, 2023, a tragic incident occurred in the Washington Heights neighborhood of Chicago, resulting in the death of 15-year-old Demea Morris. The shooting happened just before 1 a.m. near the intersection of 106th and Sangamon, close to Jackie Robinson Park. Demea was sitting in the backseat of an SUV when she was shot in the head.
