On March 26, 1995, Joyce Wilson, a 28-year-old African American woman, was found murdered in the Englewood neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. Her death was part of a series of homicides targeting women involved in sex work and struggling with drug addiction. Wilson's body was discovered after she had been strangled, a method consistent with other killings in the area during that time.
