Sakinah Reed, a 17-year-old African American female, was tragically killed on January 5, 2016, in Chicago, Illinois. Sakinah was fatally shot in the chest during a drive-by shooting in the Grand Crossing neighborhood. The incident occurred around 3:30 PM when a gunman in a passing gray Ford Explorer opened fire, striking Sakinah twice in the chest.
